Drugs in Pro Wrestling
As I had stated before, I am a huge pro wrestling fan. I thought I would address the recent drug problems and deaths that have been occuring throughout the pro wrestling world. A few years back, Eddie Guerrero was found, by his nephew, dead in his hotel room. His unfortunate passing was later traced back to drug usage earlier in his career. His death affected the entire industry. Many wellness policies were set up throughout different organizations and drug testing was also made to be mandatory. There were more deaths between his and the most recent that occured, but nothing that was remotely related to drug usage. The most controversial drug realted death was that of Chris Benoit a few months ago. I use the term "controversial" only due to the fact that this is still under investigation in one or more ways. However, Benoit was a victim of roid-rage. I do not accept his actions. If he alone would have died, that would be different. The fact that her murdered his own wife and son is just disgusting. Due to these actions by Chris Benoit, Congress has decided to investigate organizations such as World Wrestling Entertainement (WWE). WWE has recently looked into an online pharmacy (Signature Pharmacy) that was perscribing steroids and other illegal substanves to its performers. Because of this, WWE has suspended, as of right now, a total of 11 superstars for getting drugs from this pharmacy. a list of the superstars that were found to be getting drugs from the site can be found at www.rajah.com under the "SI ListsTen Current WWE Wrestlers ThatRecieved Drugs After February 2006". This site updated frequently with other things such as show results and other pro wreslting tid bits. In my heart, I believe that if the correct actions are taken, these problems can be solved quite easily. I hope that these latest devlopments do not lead to the end of WWE. I do not back up what the preformers have done, but I respect what they do in the ring. They my make mistakes, but they are only human. I will most likely be updating this post with new information as I recieve it.

Hi I have seen a few documentations on this same problem not necessarilyin wrestling but in multiple sports. I agree that it is a major problem and they need to do more to prevent it from happening because as you said it is affecting not only the person but their family as well. My mom's cousin was going to pro wrestling school and he did very well at state in wrestling in Florida. I am not sure if he won or not. I haven't seen him in a while so I am not sure if he is still going to school to do that or not. Nice article though.
You made several good points. While I do not agree with the use of drugs in wrestling or any other sports, the sport as a whole should not suffer do to a few people who do use performance enhancers. Also, athletes can make mistakes and do deserve second chances.
hey man, I like your blog on the wwe. I am a fan as well, and i Completley agree with what your saying. McMahon has been in court for this stuff before and almost went to prison for it. You're right, it has to stop. Looking forward to your next piece.
